A laptop BIOS password is more secure than a traditional desktop to help protect the data if it was stolen, Old laptops password can be cleared easily but those new Models are more complicated since it cannot be removed by shorting two pins or Dip switch. some users usually mix between Bios passwords and Hard Disk password. to know the difference between both all what you need to do is just disconnect the internal laptop hard disk, if the Laptop asks for the password again then it means this is the Bios Password Level, if it did not ask this means the Hard Disk is locked only. you may change it or send it to our lab to unlock it for you.
